Graded Card Storage Guide: PSA, CGC & BGS Slabs

Graded slabs are the most protected cards you own — right up until they're stacked loose in a drawer, grinding cases against each other. Good slab storage does three things: holds each slab separately, keeps the label readable, and looks worthy of what's inside. That's what our Card Storage line is built around.

Why loose storage ruins cases

What a purpose-built slab crate does differently

Our Graded Slab Crate seats each slab in a calibrated wedge slot — it drops in, wedges snug at the same height every time, and nothing rattles. The front cutout keeps the cert label visible, and the lid closes on eight hidden magnets into a clean sculpted block. Lid options: the silver GRADED inlay, a blank lid, or your own text — set name, player, collection.

Sizing: 3 slabs or 26

The standard crate holds three slabs — the right size for a desk or shelf centrepiece. Building out a full set? We print custom crates up to 26 slots in one piece on our large-format printer, same wedge fit, same magnetic lid. One-slab display boxes with engraved card details on the lid (name, grade, cert) are available as custom orders too.

Frequently asked questions

Do the crates fit CGC and BGS slabs or just PSA?

The wedge slots are calibrated for standard PSA slabs and take CGC and TAG slabs too; thicker BGS cases fit the custom-size crates — mention your grader in the order notes and we confirm fit before printing.

Will the crate scratch my slabs?

No — the slab seats in a smooth calibrated wedge and stops moving. Scratches mostly come from slabs stacked loose in drawers; a fitted slot is the fix.

Can I see the cert label without opening it?

Yes — the front grab cutout leaves the label band visible, and the slab lifts out one-handed.

How many slabs can one crate hold?

The standard crate holds 3. Custom sizes go up to 26 slots in a single crate on our large-format printer — message us for a quote.

Can I put my set name on the lid?

Yes — choose the Custom text lid and add your wording (set, player, collection name) in the order notes. Silver flush inlay, same price.
