FAQs

real questions from buyers
What do I get with an SO-101 parts set, and what do I still need?

Every 3D printed structural part of the open-source SO-101 arm: 11 parts for a follower, 12 for a leader (with handle and trigger), 23 for the pair, printed to order in Melbourne from the official Apache-2.0 files. You add the servo kit (6 Feetech STS3215 bus servos per arm, a driver board, power supply and USB cable) and the screws that come with the servos.

Follower, leader or pair?

The follower is the arm the robot moves; the leader is the one you hold to teach it. LeRobot teleoperation and data collection need the pair; running a trained policy needs only a follower.

Which material and colour?

PLA Matte in nine colours, Matte Black by default. PETG-CF for all-day lab arms is quoted on request.

Do you do class sets or invoices?

Yes: five or ten pairs, PETG-CF, invoices and purchase orders are quoted on the business site's SO-101 page.

Are you affiliated with The Robot Studio or Hugging Face?

No. The SO-101 is their open-source design (Apache-2.0); we print the published files and name them only to say what the parts fit.
