A desk and workshop organiser on the open 42 mm grid. The baseplate takes any 42 mm grid bin, and our bins drop into any 42 mm grid baseplate, so it grows with whatever you already have. Buy the starter set, or just the pieces you need.
Starter set: one 3x3 baseplate (126 x 126 mm), a 1x1 bin, a 1x2 bin, a 2x2 bin and a 2x1 tool block. The bins hold screws, bits, paints, SD cards, pens and the small stuff that drifts across a bench. The tool block has six pockets for 1/4-inch hex bits, three 9.5 mm pockets and two 13.5 mm pockets for drivers and handles.
In the box: the piece or set you choose, in one colour. Bits, drivers and other contents shown are not included. Photos are of a printed set in Matte Black.
Need PETG for a hot workshop, other bin sizes, or a bulk order for a shop fit-out? The same set is in our business parts catalogue, quoted per job.
Care: PLA softens above about 55 °C, so keep it out of hot cars, window sills in full sun and off heaters. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. For storage of dry goods only; not for food.
⚠️ Magnet safety. This product contains or is used with small, strong magnets. Not a toy: keep away from children under 14. If a magnet ever comes loose, stop using the product and contact us. If a magnet is swallowed, seek medical help immediately.
Storage & use. For storing dry goods only, not for food. The bins hold small items such as bits and screws: keep those, and the 1x1 bin, away from children under 3. The set is PLA, which can soften above about 55 °C, so keep it out of hot cars, full sun and away from heaters. Not covered: damage from heat, solvents, overloading, modification, or use the product isn't designed for. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Colour & finish. Each piece is printed to order, so slight colour or sheen differences can occur between filament batches. Fine layer lines are part of the 3D-printed finish. This doesn't affect strength or fit.
Will these bins fit my existing 42 mm grid baseplate?
Yes. The feet follow the open 42 mm grid specification (42 x 42 mm cells, 41.5 mm bin footprint, 7 mm height units), so our bins drop into any 42 mm grid baseplate and our 3x3 baseplate takes any 42 mm grid bin. Prints from other makers can vary a little.
Do the bins stack, and are there magnets?
They stack: the foot of each bin seats in the lip of the bin below, chamfer on chamfer, so a stack centres itself. There are no magnets and no magnet holes in this version, and nothing else to fit.
Can I get other sizes, PETG, or a bulk order?
The shop sells the starter set and the five standard pieces in PLA. Other bin sizes and heights, PETG for a hot workshop, and bulk orders are quoted per job through our business parts catalogue at business.formada3d.com/parts/.
