How to assemble the Paint Rack Gallery Ladder

How to assemble the Paint Rack Gallery Ladder: an interactive 3D guide in 5 steps. Turn, zoom and explode the model, then build it step by step. Printed to order in Melbourne.

  1. Step 1 · Rails + shelves. Lay the two ladder rails out, then slide each shelf's tabs into the rail slots. Each shelf sits on a pair of rungs, one slot in each rail, every 28 mm. Pick the rung that clears what stands below: 3 rungs for pots, 4 for dropper bottles. Any shelf fits any rung, so mix them as you like.
  2. Step 2 · Wedges. Push two wedges through the slots in each shelf's ears, just outside the rails. They pull the shelf tight against the rails and lock it. The ladder is now one rigid unit.
  3. Step 3 · Into the plinth. Set the plinth flat with the wells facing you. Slide the whole ladder into the two rail pockets from the back until it stops at the front. The angled (half-dovetail) side of each pocket stops it lifting or tipping.
  4. Step 4 · Snap pins. Push one snap pin through the side of the plinth into each rail until the forks click out on the far side. The pin stops the rail sliding back out. To remove it, squeeze the forks from underneath.
  5. Step 5 · Done. The Gallery Ladder is assembled. Load your paints: pots or dropper bottles in the plinth wells and along each shelf.
